After observing our caterpillars growing and then creating their chrysalises we have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of our butterflies!  One morning we were delighted to see a butterfly in the bottom of the net and over the course of the morning three more butterflies appeared!  We fed the butterflies some juicy orange and have watched them carefully for a few days!  At first they flapped their wings a little but then they became much more active and began to fly around the net!  We decided the time had come to release them, we sat very quietly and opened the net and one by one the butterflies flew off!  We left the final chrysalis in the net and were delighted to see our fifth and final butterfly emerge a few days later!
