13/10/23 Year 3 Autumn 1 Week 6

Another fab week in Year 3! In Maths this week we have been learning how to use the formal written method to answer addition and subtraction questions- we even started exchanging too! We’re still reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in English; this week we have been discussing how the different children’s punishments matched their characters. In Science we learnt how muscles make our bones move. We focused on the arm; we made a model on the arm and learnt how when tricep contracts and shortens the bicep relaxes and lengthens. We’ve then been using our muscles in PE to create some excellent symmetrical and asymmetrical balances in groups.
