Clover Hill Primary School

8/12/23 Year 3 Autumn 2 Week 4 and 5

Year 3 have had another busy few weeks! In Maths we have been learning our 3, 4 and 8 times tables – we love a game of ‘Fizz, Buzz’ to help us recall them and we also love singing the Grimes Tables songs too. In English we are beginning our non fiction report writing about different sports and in PSHE we have been learning about what being part of a community means.

Our science investigations have continued to amaze us, we discovered that the size of the magnet doesn’t determine the strength of the magnetic field- Sofia used a small ring magnet pick up 10 paper clips! We also found out we can use a magnet on water to create a compass! In Music we have been learning more notes on our recorders; we can read the music and play ‘Mary had a little lamb’. Finally, today we had a special treat and got to watch the KS1 performance which we thought was amazing!
