Year 3 have been working hard this week using column subtraction when they need to exchange across 10. They worked in pairs to use base-10 alongside writing the column method so they really understood what was happening. It’s been a challenge but they’ve shown great resilience and are all feeling much more confident with it! In English they’ve written some fantastic diary entries from Charlie’s point of view when he found the golden ticket and visited Mr Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
