Term dates for community schools in Gateshead starting in September 2023.

Please note the return date is Tuesday 5th September 2023. All dates are inclusive.
Two days within the above terms are to be used for professional development for staff. These dates have been agreed by individual school governing bodies –
INSET – Staff training day – Monday 4th September 2023 – School Closed to students
INSET – Staff training day – Monday 15th April 2023 – School closed to students
In addition to the above dates, schools will be closed to pupils on Monday 6 May 2024 (Bank Holiday).
In addition, one occasional day within the Summer Term 2024 is to be utilised for the purpose of closure for possible election purposes, this day to be used near the end of the summer term and has been agreed by individual school governing bodies – FRIDAY 21ST JUNE 2024, school will be closed.
The start of the Autumn Term 2024 is proposed as Monday 2 September 2024.
