Our new school 'buddy bench'

We applied for and were awarded a grant of £200 by Jaime at 52Lives to buy a new buddy seat to put in our school playground. We had to write a bid about all of the good work that goes on in school to promote kindness - we had so much to tell them as being kind is at the forefront of all that we do at Clover Hill.

Now, if anyone is feeling sad or they have nobody to play with they can go and sit on the seat and somebody from our sports crew or an adult on duty will go over to them to try and help them find someone to play or just sit and chat with them to make them feel happy again. We used to have a buddy seat but it had to be removed as the legs had become rotten and it wasn't safe to sit on anymore.

Everyone is really happy to have a new seat.
