Year 4 is such a super year group to teach as the children’s independence grows and they really begin to produce work of an exceptional standard. We study lots of wonderful topics in Year 4, giving many opportunities for cross curricular activities which the children thoroughly enjoy.

We are lucky to have the support of Mrs Wheeler in the mornings, our teaching assistant, who supports general classroom activities and works with small intervention groups.

I really appreciate the support parents give with homework tasks and am always delighted with the efforts the children make with their weekly challenges in particular. Spellings are given on a Monday and tested the following Tuesday. Homework is allocated Thursday and due the following Friday. Times tables and reading should practiced as many times as possible in a week, with a minimum of 3 times required.
