Reception Class came to school today wearing their own clothes and wellies as we spent lots of the day outside exploring our school grounds.  We enjoyed identifying different trees in our grounds and looked carefully at their very different leaves.  We identified evergreen and deciduous trees and talked about how we could tell the difference.  We enjoyed looking for signs of autumn and identified lots and lots of different colours in the leaves we collected.  We enjoyed making crunching noises as we walked through our conservation area and had a quick look in our pond but sadly all was quiet today!  We rounded the day off with an outdoor story accompanied by hot chocolate and biscuits!
